【Accommodation Tax】
The accommodation tax rate in Kyoto City will be revised starting from stays on March 1, 2026 (Sunday).
The revised tax rates will apply to stays on or after March 1, 2026, regardless of the reservation date.
The accommodation tax is charged per person, per night, based on the room rate.

Before Revision [Until February 28, 2026 (Saturday)]
Room rate under JPY 20,000: Tax JPY 200
Room rate JPY 20,000 – under JPY 50,000: Tax JPY 500
Room rate JPY 50,000 and above: Tax JPY 1,000

After Revision [From March 1, 2026 (Sunday)]
Room rate under JPY 6,000: Tax JPY 200
Room rate JPY 6,000 – under JPY 20,000: Tax JPY 400
Room rate JPY 20,000 – under JPY 50,000: Tax JPY 1,000
Room rate JPY 50,000 – under JPY 100,000: Tax JPY 4,000
Room rate JPY 100,000 and above: Tax JPY 10,000

Notes:

The accommodation tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid at the hotel. For accommodation tax purposes, the room rate refers to the lodging-only rate, excluding meals, consumption tax, and other charges.
Please note that for reservations made online, room rates are displayed excluding accommodation tax.

As of 1 March 2026, changed local tax regulations require guests to pay accommodation tax at updated rates, which will be collected separately by the property during the check-in process. The tax is determined by the room rate and is charged per person, per night, as follows: 

【Accommodation tax through 28 February 2026】  
For room rates less than JPY 20,000: JPY 200   
For room rates from JPY 20,000 to less than JPY 50,000: JPY 500   
For room rates of JPY 50,000 or more: JPY 1,000  

【Accommodation tax from 1 March 2026, onwards】  
For room rates less than JPY 6,000: JPY 200   
For room rates from JPY 6,000 to less than JPY 20,000: JPY 400  
For room rates from JPY 20,000 to less than JPY 50,000: JPY 1,000   
For room rates from JPY 50,000 to less than JPY 100,000: JPY 4,000 
For room rates of JPY 100,000 or more: JPY 10,000   

For the purposes of the accommodation tax, the term “accommodation fee” will refer to the room-only rate, excluding any meal charges and consumption tax.  
Please settle the payment at the hotel upon check-in.
Breakfast is free of charge for children aged 0–2 years. A breakfast fee of JPY 2,250 per child, per day applies for children aged 3–5 years.

Pets are strictly not allowed at the property.
From May 8, 2023, our employees will respect the independent choice of individuals and will voluntarily wear masks.
If the name on the guest's passport is different from the name on the reservation, we may not be able to accommodate you. We apologize for the inconvenience, but please make sure to register the full name of the guest on the reservation as it appears on the guest's passport. If you did not register the guest's name at the time of reservation, please change the guest's name on the confirmation page of the reservation details.We prohibit the resale of reservations to others, or any reservation activities deemed for commercial purposes.
